The researcher contacts an eye bank within the consortium to request tissue.
2. Make a plan
The researcher and eye bank formulate a protocol for tissue procurement.
3. Share the protocol
The eye bank shares the protocol with the consortium and trains staff accordingly.
4. Tissue Procurement
Eye banks in the consortium work together to fulfill the researcher’s request.
5. Advance the research
Researcher receives the tissues recovered and preserved as indicated from eye bank partners and moves forward with their intended research.
